Made with dye-struck saddlery leather, this cowhide is both chrome and veg-tanned with a deep wax and oil finish for combined durability and softness. The deep dye minimizes visible scratches and gives it the deep, rich black finish. It will have some stiffness at first, with repeated wear the leather breaks in without losing its strength and durability.
It is constructed by stitching 2 pieces of leather together with both grain sides out, providing a soft backing and covering the reverse side of the hardware.
Saddle stitched by hand with a braided and waxed nylon thread.
